Alan Roy Armesto

ACADEMY MANAGER
Alan is a professional Brazilian Jiu Jitsu coach and academy leader with over 16 years of experience in coaching, personal training, and youth development. With a background in psychology and multiple certifications from the International Sports Sciences Association—including personal training, nutrition coaching, and sports psychology—he brings a holistic, people-first approach to martial arts instruction.
Alan holds a black belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu under the prestigious Atos team, having received his belt from the legendary André Galvão during a ceremony in Dubai—solidifying his place within one of the most respected lineages in the sport.
He has led training at renowned academies such as FitRepublik, Bali MMA, and Entropy Jiu Jitsu, combining technical excellence and structured methodical teaching with deep coaching experience.
Alan has successfully taught high-volume classes for kids, teens, and adults, and has coached competitive athletes at premier events including the Abu Dhabi Grand Slam and Abu Dhabi World Pro where several of his students have earned gold medals at these events, reflecting his strong commitment to the development of both junior and adult athletes at an elite level.
With previous leadership and training roles at American Airlines, Microsoft, and Emirates Airlines, Alan also brings a wealth of experience in communication, team management, conflict resolution and customer service—making him a trusted mentor both on and off the mats. As Head Coach and Manager of Tsuna Jiu Jitsu Academy, he continues to foster a welcoming, disciplined, and high-performing environment for all students.



SCHEDULE
Our schedule offers a diverse range of classes to suit every age and experience level. For the kids, Junior and Youth programs where we develop discipline, confidence, and resilience while learning effective self-defense. We also offer Ladies Only and Yoga sessions during mornings at an atmosphere that encourages confidence, relaxation and growth on the mats. For the adults, whether you're just starting with our Fundamental class, building skills in All Levels or No-Gi, or sharpening techniques in Advanced and Open Mat sessions, we made sure there’s something here for everyone.
